Öz
Antik dönemden ulus devlete kadar güçlü bir politik mecra bulan teoloji, Aydınlanma ve Fransız Devrimi’nin inşa ettiği seküler dönemde giderek zayıflar. Her ne kadar politik teoloji Almanya’da muhalif bir zeminde muhafazakâr ideoloji içerisinde dillendirilse de, muktedir olamama durumu modernin yaşadığı kriz anına kadar devam eder. Bu süreçte Carl Schmitt bu krizi fark eder ve bunu teolojinin politik olandan dışlandığı paradigmanın yansımaları olduğunu düşünür. Roma Katolik Kilisesi’nin
temsil ettiği değerleri politik olan içerisinde yeniden ihya ederek inşa etmeyi düşündüğü politik teolojiyi bu krizin çözümü olarak görür ve bu doğrultuda devrimci muhafazakâr hissiyatın tam içerisinde modernin politik kavramlarını aşkın bir yapıya
kavuşturur. Bu çalışma, bu bağlamda, Almanya özelinde politik teolojinin tarihsel seyrini ve Schmitt’in kendi teolojisini hangi temeller üzerine kurduğunu devrimci muhafazakârlığı göz önünde bulundurarak araştırmaktadır.

A Sonderweg from Destruction to Absolute War: Political Theology of Carl Schmitt
Abstract
Theology, which had a strong political sphere from the ancient period to the nation state, has gradually weakened during the secular era established by the Enlightenment and the French Revolution. Although political theology is expressed in a conservative ideology on an opposing ground in Germany, its inability to become dominant persists until the modernity crisis. Carl Schmitt recognizes the crisis during this process and believes it is a reflection of the paradigm in which theology is excluded from the political one. He regards political theology as the solution to this crisis, which he intends to reconstruct by reviving the values represented by the Roman Catholic Church within the political one, and thus he transforms modern political concepts into a transcendent structure, precisely within the revolutionary conservative sentiment. This research examines the historical course of political theology in Germany, taking into account revolutionary conservatism, and the
foundations on which Schmitt built his theology.
