Öz
Post truth her ne kadar son yıllara ait bir fenomen olsa da hakikat ve yalan ilişkisinin bir uğrağı olduğu ifade edilebilir. Hakikat ve yalan tarih boyunca devamlı mücadele içerisinde olmuştur. Post truth ise bunun bir yansımasıdır. Post truth, teknoloji ve siyaset ile yakın bir ilişki içerisindedir. Post truth özellikle kitle iletişim araçlarıyla ve sosyal medya ile varlığını kolaylıkla kabul ettirirken popülizm için de en etkili araç olarak görülmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, post truth’u Hannah Arendt’in düşünceleri doğrultusunda açıklamaktır. Çünkü çalışmanın en temel iddiası, post truth’un kökenlerinin hakikat ve yalan ilişkisinde yattığıdır. Arendt bu ilişkiyi net bir şekilde ortaya koyduğundan dolayı onun düşünceleri doğrultusunda post  truth’un okuması yapılmaktadır.

Reading Post Truth through Hannah Arendt

Abstract
Although the post truth is a phenomenon of the recent years, it can be said that post truth is a moment of the relationship of truth and lie. Truth and lie have been in constant struggle throughout history. Post-truth is a reflection of this struggle. Post
truth is in close relationship with technology and politics. While post truth makes its existence easily accepted by mass media and social media, it is considered as the most effective tool for populism. The aim of this study is to explain post truth in the light of Hannah Arendt’s thoughts. Because the most basic claim of the study is that the origins of post-truth lie in the relationship of truth and lie. As Arendt clearly demonstrates this relationship, the post-truth is read in the light of her thoughts.
